At Studio DMLA, we have three models of work:
Direct placement:
We place professionals, such as software developers, from Latin America directly into your company in North America. They will work remotely and become part of your team while enjoying the added support of the Studio DMLA team such as weekly meetings, one-to-one preparation for dev demos, English workshops and language support, and more.
Assigned team:
We assign a team to a client for a number of hours per month. This team, with DMLA’s oversight, has the skill set needed to complement your in-house team.
Per scope:
We implement a project by scope with a team and the number of hours allocated to the project.

Placement of Developers
In the past two years, we have placed software developers professionals with this client: https://bunking.com/, who helped to develop the platform, including a Content Management System, from scratch. The technical requirements included experience and proficiency with React, Node, and MongoDB. The outcome was speeding up the code production to support the client’s investment plan.
Web Development, Maintenance & Technical SEO
The main goal was to enhance the customer experience on the website, besides modernizing our client’s online presence during the pandemic period. The challenge was the large amount of information as well as the design of the new website from scratch, in addition to the implementation of the development tasks of a technical SEO audit to improve the performance on search engines. After the development, we started with website maintenance activities: updating the WordPress system, plugins, and theme in addition to new developments; and providing a monthly report on maintenance activities.

The most important outcome was the design of the first website (gvenglish), which created a benchmark for the subdomain website (ielts.gvenglish). Web Migration, Development & Maintenance
Since the gatewaypm.com website has e-commerce, and new transactions can happen anytime, we needed a way to ensure the same database would be serving the old webserver (Rentsync) and the new one (FlyWheel). The coding happened in the development environment: updating plugins, coding, and testing. When a version was ready to test, we deployed it to the staging environment where everyone could try it. We had feedback and adjustment cycles in this phase until everything was ready for production. After the migration was completed, we started with gatewaypm.com maintenance activities: updating the WP system, plugins, and theme; and a monthly report on maintenance activities.

The Joy of English: English for tech professionals
Workshop led by Andrea Heald-Miller, M.Ed.
Our associates joined Andrea’s online lessons once a week over 10 weeks, in addition to one-to-one sessions. Homework was assigned after each lesson and Andrea encouraged the team to take advantage of this extra material and time. Lessons comprised of both activities and lectures.

Backpack Buddies
At Studio DMLA, we believe in giving back
Backpack Buddies is a grassroots organization with a vision rooted in family, community, and empathy. In 2012, the mother-daughter duo Joanne and Emily-Anne discovered the need of children from inner-city schools for food on weekends. Since then, they have been helping to fill the weekend hunger gap by providing meals and snacks directly to those who need them. Studio DMLA contributes monthly to Backpack Buddies in addition to supporting their special initiatives, such as the Holiday Food Drive. Join us in supporting this important cause
